For Sale: 1976 Chevrolet VEGA STATION WAGON in Arlington, Texas

Vehicle Description

1976 Chevrolet Vega Wagon

The Chevrolet Vega was produced 1970 to 1977 and the design team was headed by the designer of the Camaro. The influences of that popular muscle car are very obvious especially when you start looking at things like the sloped grill and squared of headlight buckets. You don't see many of these driving around but they are a great base for building an affordable custom like the very cool 76 Vega Wagon you see here. This car was completed in 1998 and has a very cool look. Station wagons have recently come back into style and this Vega fits right in. The body is in great shape and painted in a nice Metallic Maroon paint that really pops out in the sun. It works well with the dark tinted windows giving the car a tough yet sleek exterior. It still wears front and rear bumper but the rest of the car has been shaved clean of any trim and door handles. A cowl hood has been added along with Weld Racing wheels to give it the perfect hotrod exterior.

The car isn't just looks though because the rebuilt GM 350 motor has been built up nicely and runs strong. It has a lot power and has no problem sending this Vega flying down the road. It has been dressed up with chrome valve covers and a chrome air cleaner topping the Edelbrock 600cfm carburator. When it comes time to off the engine you tilt the hood forward. The engine is connectdd to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission which sends power back to the GM 7.5 rear end. The positrac rear came out of an 82 S10 pickup and has 3:48 gears. The car also has power steering and power brakes making it a very comfortable car to cruise around in.

The interior is complete in Gray and is fitted with aftermarket high back bucket seats up front. The automatic floor shifter is mounted to the center hump as is the emergency brake handle. The dash of the car has been upgraded with Autometer Pro Comp ultra light gauges which are nicely framed in a brushed aluminum bezel. It also has an aftermarket Sony Xplod AM/FM/CD player with Aux input which delivers a great sound through the modern speakers. Other nice features include the AC/Heat system and Grant GT steering wheel. The AC compressor needs a new clutch to get it back into operation. In the back where the spare was originally housed you will find the remotely mounted battery and Holly electric fuel pump with inline filter.

You don't see these Vega wagons often and this one was built to be a really fun driver. It is a lot of car for that low asking price so check it out while you can!

A real gem at the low price of $9,950.00
