Vehicle Description
The Austin FX4 cab tootled around London, England as the successor
to the Austin FX3, which in its day, was London's most widely used
taxi. Most taxis were fitted with the Austin diesel engine, though
a rare few had the gasoline 2.2L engine. The FX4 was the first taxi
in London to have four doors.
This beautiful specimen, having crossed the pond, is now in your
reach. The car would be great for shows, nice for a unique wedding
get-away car, or for those of you with noisy children, thanks to
the glass partition between front and rear, a great family car. As
long as you have a reliable co-pilot, the right hand drive steering
wheel should not be a problem. Our British customers who snatch up
our Left Hand Drive Mustangs say the front seat passenger makes
driving on the other side of the road a no sweat proposition.
