In 1986, Mercedes-Benz introduced the most powerful version of the SL, the 560SL. The introduction was made in large part to counteract the number of people importing the European spec 500SLs to the United States. Built on Mercedes-Benz’s famed R107 chassis, the car offered impressive performance with the new V-8 producing 227-hp. The car was capable of a 7.5-second, 0- to 60-mph time as well as a top speed of 130-mph; both impressive for the time period. Mercedes-Benz produced the 560SL from 1986 to 1989.

This beautiful 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is presented in Arctic white with a white hardtop and rides on its original wheels. The Mercedes-Benz is powered by a 5,549-cc V-8 engine which is paired to an automatic transmission. Power equipment on the car includes windows, steering and four-wheel disc brakes. This is a one owner car that is reported to be all original been garage kept. The interior is completed in gray featuring leather bucket seats. Included with the car is the original owner's manual, maintenance records, original bill of sale, original tool kit and the reported original keys. The spare tire is said to be unused. In addition, this is reported to have been a California car. This is an excellent opportunity to buy into classic SL ownership with great Mercedes-Benz styling.
