Vehicle Description
1972 Maverick Grabber
With its 2 door body, fastback style roofline, rear spoiler and hood scoops this early 70's Maverick is all muscle car. This extremely cool classic is what is known as a Maverick Grabber with Grabber being the highest trim level available on these cars. Not only is it a nice solid muscle car but it is a one owner car with a documented history. The car was originally purchased in San Antonio, TX. From then it spent 2 years in California and the rest of its life in Texas. It was originally a Yellow car with Orange graphics but has had 1 repaint changing it over to the Red and Black color combo. The car has never been wrecked and is entirely rust free with no history of body work. It has been well cared for since new and all it needs at this time is for the AC to be serviced. That being said it is a factory AC car belonging to the group of only 29% of Mavericks produced with AC. The Black Vinyl top pairs perfectly with the Black stripes and is in good shape. Under all four corners are nice blacked out wheels with Lemans Radial SA tires. The car came from the factory with all of the Grabber options which include a lot of upgrades like the hood scoops and extra trim. The following table outlines all of the additional options you get when you upgrade to the Grabber.
Dog Dish Hub caps with Trim Rings
Two color or black hood panel tape, body stripes with Grabber decal and Lower back panel paint and tape
Four Color Combinations available
Simulated Hood Scoops

Optional were the: 200 or 250 CID 6 cylinders, or a 302 V2 8 cylinder
This car is powered by the optional 302 V2 8 cylinder motor and runs very well. The engine has never been apart since being installed by the factory. All of the components have their factory appearance painted in either Black or Ford Blue. Paired with the motor is a 3 speed C4 automatic transmission that moves through the gears comfortably. Mustang fans will note this is the same drivetrain found in a lot of the late 60s/early 70s mustangs.
The interior is complete in Black and all of the upholstery work is in good condition. All of the factory trim pieces are in place throughout and the dash all original. All of the stock gauges, light knobs, etc are in place and working. The car has an AM/FM/Cassette player in place which delivers a nice sound. It utilizes a column shifter which moves through the gears well. The trunk is painted in Black and houses a spare and the original jack setup.
This cool original 1 owner classic has a lot going for it and would make someone a very nice muscle car. It is being offered up at a great price so grab this grabber while it's still available.
