Interior, this is among the nicest Fiero GT's we have ever seen and
is arguably one of the nicest originals in existence. This
outstanding example was very well equipped from the factory with
nearly every available option, and its condition is very
impressive. Just 54,000 miles from new. 2.8L V6 Engine & Automatic
Transmission, 4-Wheel Disc Brakes, Exhaust system is in great
shape, Lotus suspension bushings are excellent. Functional
Hide-a-Way Headlights. Outstanding body with laser-straight panels
and nearly flawless finish. Tinted windows. Undercarriage is
extremely clean. This is a great opportunity at a future
collectible that is in fabulous condition inside and out, and runs
and drives excellent. Meticulously maintained and properly
serviced, this Fiero GT will be a fine addition to any
collection. This Fiero GT performs like new, great power, nice
high-end speeds for the interstate, very comfortable with loads of
leg room. The engine compartment is all original and in excellent
shape. All electrical components appear to be in top shape and all
function properly. Exterior paint and body are in excellent
original shape as well. 1988 was the last year of production for
Fieros and these are far and away the best made Fiero, and the most
desirable by collectors today. The '88 GT's are becoming very
collectible and are one of the fastest appreciating examples in the
collector marketplace. Don't miss this one. There aren't many better
colors on a mid-engine sports car than bright yellow and this
fantastic Fiero GT wears it quite well. The GT had distinctive rear
styling, with buttress glass at the deck lid to complement the
sharper nose. Currently, the Fiero has a cult following of owners
and customizers. While all Fiero models are considered to be
collectible, the 1988 model year is especially sought after by
collectors due to its limited production numbers and vastly
improved underpinnings. 1988 marked the end of production for the
Fiero, and is also considered to be the best Fiero produced.
Improvements to suspension, brakes, steering, and improvements to
the V6 engines took the car to a level far beyond the original
model. With the 1988 model year came a completely new front and
rear suspension with vented disc brakes at all four corners, Fiero
GT models also received a rear anti-sway barFiero pioneered new
concepts and production methods, as well as new materials as the
first production car in the world to use a space/frame chassis with
a separate body shell composed of SMC Sheet Molded Composite. The
Fiero's enduring legacy is its revolutionary space-frame design. The
GT was the top-of-the-line performance Fiero model since its
introduction in 1985. GM had purchased Lotus which helped to tune
the suspension on the 1988 Fiero GT and Formula and give them the
refinement which was very needed. By 1988 the Fiero in GT and
Formula trim was finally the well-balanced sports car it should
have been when the Fiero was first introduced. With the 1988 Fiero
Formula the suspension feel was as perfect as you could expect from
this era. Steering was very precise and it handled the bumps and
uneven pavement like a pro.The interior of the Fiero GT is
attractive and highly functional, not to mention also very
futuristic when introduced, all gauges are easy to read and
controls are well-located and easily accessible. The GT had the
best seats for 1988.For more information on this 1988 Pontiac Fiero
