This is a beautiful 1971 Pontiac GTO that truly needs to be seen and is as close to perfect as you will find. A real (2) Pontiac (42) GTO (37) 2 DR CP. Not a clone, recreation or a tribute.
This GTO has the correct WK 400 ci L78 300 hp motor offered in 1971, M22 4 spd close ratio trans, 355 rear end ratio. Lucerne Blue exterior with the correct Blue interior and console.
This was NOT a frame off restoration, no need, was a exelant body to start with, was not a rotted out car. The body was striped down to bare metal, any dings, seams were taken out, epoxy primer was applied blocked out and painted with BC/CC code FF Lucerne Blue. We did nothing with the motor it ran strong, previous owner said it was rebuilt, 4 Speed was gone through and rebuilt, exhaust was replaced with the correct manifolds followed with stainless steel. Brakes, shocks, link pins, ball joints rebuilt or replaced. New correct interior, glass, dash cluster, console, shifter, rear bumper, exhaust tips, rear spoiler, stripes, hood tach, 5 new BFG TA 215/70R 15 Radial tires with 5 rally wheels, centers and lugs. I can honestly say almost every nut, bolt, screw and clip were replaced.
