Vehicle Description
This very collectable 1972 Mercedes-Benz 350SL R107 Roadster with
only 78,063 original/documented miles was the first year of the US
model 107 series. Off White (717) with Black (040) hardtop, new
black German canvas soft top, and immaculate Black (161) MB Tex
interior. This vehicle has been a single family owned vehicle since
the early 1980s and comes with all original books and records. The
former owner left the vehicle to his son and daughter with all
documentation. Loaded with features including: 4.5L V8 engine,
steel block and small European-style bumpers, 3-speed automatic
transmission, new battery, cold air conditioning, original Becker
German Europa audio system, original tool kit, power steering,
power brakes, power antenna, steel wheels with classic hubcaps on
recent 305/70R14 thin white wall tires, and much more. In addition
it has had a fresh service in our own shop. All mechanicals are
factory original and in great working order. the paint work and
chrome is in excellent condition with all panels and doors fitting
perfectly. This is one of the nicest we have owned in 30 years.
This extremely cl ean and original classic convertible is perfect
to drive or show. The R107 model came on the scene in 1972 as a
replace to the W113 series and had minimal changes until 1989 as a
testament to its popularity. It consisted of the debut of the V8
engine on the convertible weight. Interestingly they were dubbed
originally as 350SL despite having a 4.5L V8 engine to keep with
