Vehicle Description
Stk. 1277 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche Base Camp
Get away from it all – without leaving it all behind with the one and only Chevrolet Avalanche Base Camp, a concept which debuted at the 2003 SEMA auto show. The Chevrolet Avalanche can transform from a 6 passenger sport utility vehicle to a pickup truck with an 8 foot box at a moment’s notice. Other vehicles – even typical SUVs – get you from point A to point B. Avalanche Base Camp can, in addition, become a home away from home. It includes all of the amenities to make an extended camping trip an enjoyable experience. Perishable items are kept chilled in the 12 volt DC-powered cooler/hot box – which conveniently plugs into a power outlet in the rear quarter. Cooking chores are handled on the Coleman propane stove built into the tailgate fold out kitchen. When night falls, Base Camp also includes a tent over the truck bed. Chevrolet started with a production Avalanche decked out with push-button four wheel drive, power windows, locks, tilt, cruise, a Bose Stereo with cassette, sunroof, tinted windows, OnStar, and Homelink. Then they added a slick custom yellow pearl paint job, their premium roof rack, their custom front bumper and chrome brush guard combination with a built in Warn winch, chrome tube side steps, mudflaps, Gentex mirrors with turn signals, Bose speakers in the bed, a custom-fit tent over the bed, and a tailgate kitchen with a propane stove, cutting board, dry sink, and aTV screen on the outside. Inside they added their custom wood grain dash package, yellow leather seat inserts with bowtie emblems, Their big mud-holding rubber floormats, cupholders that heat or cool your beverage as you drive, a DVD player, and two TV screens in the front headrests. Best of all, this truck is still literally new, with only 1200 miles on the odometer. For more information call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at www.autobarnclassiccars.com today.
