1955 Chevrolet 2100 Series 210 Post This is a solid 1955 Chevrolet 2100 series 210 post 2 door coupe. Beginning with what was already a great street rod, the owner began a professional quality rebuild that took place over 1992-1994. The rebuild is well documented with extensive photos detailing each phase of a well planned, well executed build which resulted in this being a great driving 1955 Chevrolet. The entire car was disassembled categorized and checked. All metal was prepped and finished laser straight. All chrome and bright work was replated and or polished to perfection. All glass is excellent. The chassis was completely disassembled, finished smooth and coated in silver gray. The 350ci motor was completely rebuilt, fitted with Edelbrock intake and carb, Mallory ignition, power steering, air conditioning, and installed into the chassis. The cooling is provided by an aluminum radiator with auxiliary dual electric fans. The transmission is GM automatic. The body, finished in blue was placed on the completed chassis. The interior features seating finished in a combination of fabric and vinyl. The front bench is exceptionally comfortable as result of foam molded to a bucket seat like feel. Auxiliary AutoMeter gauges are mounted under dash to monitor the volts, water temp and oil pressure. A Jensen head unit provides the tunes. A tilt steering column is topped with a Budnick wheel. The interior is comfortable, retaining the classic styling but with modern features such as AC and power windows. The trunk is well finished, matching the interior materials, housing the battery, reduced size spare tire and ample room for tools and goodies. Stopping is smooth and responsive with power disc brakes at all four corners. The Budnick polished billet wheels are fitted with BF Goodrich Comp TA radials, 195/60R/15 front and 255/60R/15 rear give the car the right look and stance.
