1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible, 32244 miles, all original rust free car. 164 CID six cylinder, dual carburetor, 95 HP with automatic transmission. Manual brakes and steering. This beautiful Corvair was originally a Florida car and brought to Michigan in 1978. The owner passed away shortly thereafter and the car sat in enclosed storage and never driven. We purchased the car several months ago and completed maintenance as required, keeping the car original and making it the gem that it is today. The following was completed: all fluids changed, new spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, carburetors rebuilt, fuel tank dropped and cleaned, rebuilt harmonic balancer, new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brakes, new battery. In addition the carpet was replaced as well as weather stripping. Four new radial ply tires were also purchased. The car starts and drives wonderful. Everything works including gages, warning lights, interior and exterior lights, turn signals, brake lights and backup lights, horn, original AM radio works, etc. All electrical works including the power top (rebuilt motor). Top has no rips or tears and the rear window is clear. The interior is very nice with some wear on the driver's seat as shown in close-up photo. Glass is good all around. Paint is mostly original with lower portion painted before 1976. Some nicks, minor scratches, imperfections and age but shows well. This is a rust free, no bondo car. It has never been cut or patched. The underside is beautiful with rust free solid floors showing the original paint. Beautiful collectible car that will be a great addition to any collection. Also a perfect car for someone interested in getting into the hobby. You just do not see them this original and still unrestored anymore. Nothing to hide here. They are only original once and here is your chance to buy this beauty.
