98%-99% restored Cougar XR7.
Lets get this said up front, the car has an Arizona salvage title. Why I don't know but it does. I don't see any signs of damage (could be an old theft recovery).
The Cougar has been restored by a local Cougar collector who recently passed away here in Southern Arizona.
The restoration was almost finished when he passed.
The body is dry and rustfree and it has a base coat/clear coat paint job that was color sanded and polished.
The black interior and the vinyl roof are also new.
As far as I can tell the engine is either a 289 or a 302 HO and it has new aluminum heads. It has been rebuilt and I believe it has a hotter cam. There's new set of headers also.
The automatic trans was redone and probably has a shift kit since it shifts perfectly and firm.
The 9 inch rear end is a posi traction unit.
Underneath the car is clean and in excellent condition.
New rubber weather stripping, new tires.
The Cougar runs great and the rear tires can be made to spin with ease!
The care needs only minor assemble but it runs great and can be driven and used as is. It is a really fun car to drive!!!
