Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1966 Chevrolet II Nova
SS for purchase. After the Corvair wasn't the hit they hoped it
would be, GM needed a new "compact car" and they rushed the
production of the Chevy II with Nova being the name of the top trim
level. However, the car is commonly referred to as both names.
Unlike the Corvair, this model was much more conventional and much
better received. The SS version was introduced as the Super Sport
to compete with the V8 Falcons.
This is a 3-owner car offered here for sale by the current owner
who has owned it for almost forty years. This is a true '66 Nova SS
in Tuxedo Black with Black interior built in the Willow Run factory
in May of 1966. It's powered by a rebuilt 350ci V8 engine paired
with the Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. This is a well-take
care of car in excellent condition inside and out. It features
front bucket seats, vinyl seats, working radio, real vintage Cragar
wheels, 3.73 posi, 12-bolt rear end, and fresh paint. This car is a
fun driving car that is a rarely found body style. A true SS makes
it a great collector's item to cruise and show off! Please call or
email for more details!
