It features a 327 cid V-8 engine under the hood with a 4-speed manual transmission, and this one comes to us very nicely equipped for modern driving. With smooth acceleration and great body lines, there is definitely a whole lot to like in this rare C1 roadster.Beautifully Cared For & Drives GreatThis 1956 Chevrolet Corvette 2 Door Convertible is a four-owner classic that’s been with the current owner since 2004. He informs us that this hard to find C1 roadster is an absolute pleasure to drive and he has planned to fully restore it for a number of years now. The interior itself is above average in condition and the body is beautiful, but the exterior paint does show some aging and likely needs to be updated. Otherwise though, this one is in great shape for such a hard to find classic.In terms of performance, this 1956 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster simply hugs the road at high speed and feels like it’s floating on air. It comes with both a hard and a soft top as well, both of which we installed and removed without issue. This classic vehicle also seems to have great compression and it runs strong, so it needs very little to be back on top of its game once again.A Paint Job Away from Being a Show WinnerOverall, this 1956 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster is in very nice condition and it would make an exceptional driver as-is.
