Vehicle Description
Jaguar 1966 Jaguar S-type 3.8 saloon, left hand drive, 4 speed manual transmission with electric overdrive. Heritage Trust certificate 43878. Recent mechanical upgrades include water pump, tie-rod ends, coil and starter. Replacement starter is gear reduction type but the original starter included. Mechanically the car is in good condition and the engine is strong. The overdrive is not functioning, perhaps just a faulty switch. Seats were redone by a previous owner. Door panels and console are original. Carpeting is relatively new. Some of the wood trim has been refinished. There is rust starting behind the front wheels at the line of the rocker panels. I anticipate the inner and outer rocker panels will need to be replaced. Paint is decent, most likely an older partial respray. Some chips along windshield, rear window and hood edges. Chrome is lightly pitted but solid. Jaguar 3.8 S Service Manual included.
