Once again Top Shelf Reps is proud to be able to offer up to you this absolutely stunning piece of automobile history. This time it is a truly breath taking 1960 Austin Healey BN7 Roadster. The car has been with its current owner for the last 16 years and he restored this numbers matching Austin to a show piece that has won several awards including the Best of show- Austin Healey Conclave, Best of show- State of Illinois British car show (Twice), Numerous Best in class awards. Not only has this car been to many shows but has been driven to the Conclaves in Vermont, Kingston Ontario, Charlevoix Quebec and Louisville spring thing.
The car was completely restored in 1999 with a new aluminum body. The black and red paint on the car like new! On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best the seller would rate it a 9+. Some other features of the car are the new aluminum doors, fenders, trunk and hood. The Austin Healey also has new steel inner fender wells, new frame, floor, firewall and foot well. The car also has a completely restored factory hard top with new seals, window, head liner, side curtains and chrome hinges. The owner always stores the car inside. Along with the car it has two sets of wheels and tires, mini lite and 72 spoke SS and chrome. Also you can see from the pictures that all the chrome on the car is in like new condition.
Moving to the interior as you should be able to see from the pictures that the inside is just as nice as the outside! The red leather/vinyl interior is in outstanding condition, the gauges are V.G. Original and everything works. The car does have A/C and Simpson 5-point seat harness. The dash top and gauge dash, red carpet kick panels and red leather seats are all new. Also the gages, wood moto-lita steering wheel, trunk liner and roll bar.
The 6 cyl, 3 liter engine #29D-RUH-3498 is the original to the car and has been completely rebuilt. Elgin high lift cam shaft, forged aluminum pistons plus .030, rings, mains, rod bearings, aluminum head, larger valves, guides, springs, heavy duty oil pump, timing chain, roller rocker assy and new crank shaft just to name a few. The new clutch, pressure plate and lighten fly wheel make this a joy to shift the 5 speed transmission (Smitty Bell Housing). The list could go on and on and on.
