This Galaxie has had a full body-off restoration to show-standards, and all parts have been either reconditioned or replaced. It is virtually a new car with about 500 miles on it since completion. This car is upgraded using a 427ci low-rise motor with original block, C3AE heads, crankshaft, rods, original factory intake and new aluminum radiator. It is also equipped with dual carburetors. It was balanced and blueprinted at 452 ft/lbs of torque at 4,200 rpm, with 428 peak bhp at 5,600 rpm. A dynamometer report is provided. It has new stainless headers, as well as new exhaust pipes and mufflers. It features T10 4-speed transmission with a NOS Hurst shifter, all NOS gears, Lakewood bellhousing, new tail shaft and universal joints. It has a new Currie 9" rear end with 31-spline axles, heavy-duty case, TrueTrac limited-slip differential and new Eaton rear springs. Braking is provided by new power-assisted disc brakes on all 4-wheels with new brake lines. It has five new American Racing wheels. The chassis was sand-blasted and powder-coated, as were the suspension components. It has all-new and reconditioned suspension, steering components and shock absorbers. The fuel system features a new tank and fuel lines. The body was removed, sandblasted and all panels were fully restored. The whole body was primed and blocked three times, painted completely inside and out with BASF R-M Uno HD, color-sanded and polished. The exterior features a fiberglass R-code hood, front fenders, decklid, front and rear bumpers. It has all-new wiring, rubber weatherstrips and dash pad, as well as new front windscreen and door glass. The interior has all-new upholstery and trim with leather-covered front and rear seats, new carpets throughout and Dynamat insulation on all floors. Other touches include new mirrors, door handles, window winders, scuff plates, emblems, locks and headlights, as well as park and taillight lenses.
