This beautiful 1966 Ford Mustang GT K-Code convertible was meticulously restored by marque expert Fred Glazier Jr. The restoration was completed in 1996, with a reported total cost of $75,000. It was later displayed at the Simeone Museum.

This Mustang is presented in code F Arcadian Blue with a white convertible power top. Additional exterior features include grille-mounted fog lights, dual sideview mirrors and dual exhaust. The Mustang is powered by a 289-cid, 271-hp HiPo V-8 engine which is paired to a four-speed manual transmission. The Deluxe “Pony” interior complements in exterior nicely and is completed in tan with accenting woodgrain trim. It features bucket seats with seatbelts, center console, Rally Pac gauge cluster, factory AM radio/8-track stereo as well as an emergency flasher switch in the glovebox. This car was ordered with the P10-GT performance option.

The car was recently inspected by Shelby and HiPo Ford Mustang expert Jim Cowles, who found this K-Code Mustang to include the correct carburetor, heads, intake, exhaust manifolds, distributor, harmonic balancer, motor mounts, air cleaner, radiator, axle tube, shocks, rear end with the proper recovery bumper as well as the proper castings and stamped date codes on the engine block. The AX Steering Box is also correct with the FoMoCo date tag that lines up perfectly to the assembly line production dates and codes. One Ford security VIN Number is also visible on the passenger side inner fender from underneath the car and matches the car’s visible VIN number. Included with the Mustang are the buck tag, original documents and receipts pertaining to the restoration as well as the very rare factory build sheet, which Cowles states is almost impossible to find intact, especially on a K-Code convertible.

With its extensive documentation and meticulous restoration, this is an excellent opportunity to own a genuine 1966 K-Code Mustang convertible.
