Ronnie's Hot Rods of Senatobia, MS, is responsible for the expert build of this stunning, multiple show-winning Deluxe Coupe street rod known as "Mojo." Work for this steel-bodied '40 began with a custom chassis fitted with Heidts independent front suspension, Ford 9" rear end and 4-wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors. The groundwork is completed with low-profile rubber on Billet Specialties Legacy 2G wheels with ride height controlled by all-corner AccuAir suspension. The steel body was fully shaved to ready it for its award-winning PPG two-stage Hot Rod Red paint and custom-sprayed silver flames. The motif is repeated in the smoothed engine compartment and custom cover hiding the Corvette-based LS2 V8 engine. Packaged with Vintage Air and power steering, the LS2 is cooled by an efficient PRC radiator and drives through a smooth-shifting 4L80E automatic transmission. There's more showstopping finish inside, where gorgeous tan leather and suede cover the custom leather bucket seats, headliner and sculpted rear deck. A hand-formed and painted console stretches the entire length of the cabin, which also features power windows, remote door and trunk-lid poppers, a tilt column and Clarion sound system. This superb 1940 Ford has won a string of awards dating back to its 2011 introduction to the show circuit, including selection to Street Rodder magazine's Top 100, Best in Class and Best Conversion at Super Chevy 2012, and the top 20 at the 2015 Chicago World of Wheels.
