By 1979 the Corvette was in its 26th year and was almost to the end of the third generation of General Motors premier sports car. When the C3 was introduced in 1968 the automotive industry was truly a exciting time being in the middle of the American muscle and sports car wars. Unfortunately by the end of the run, the Country had experienced a oil crisis, the government got involved with safety regulations and the big three were trying to keep up with new technological advances. All that said, cars were extremely robbed of power and safety features had to be integrated into the bodies.
That being said the Corvette had something going for it as the design was so outrageous and ahead of its time that even with power shortages from the originals it still held a pretty high mark when it came to American Sports Cars.
This excellent example we are featuring comes in a very attractive color combination of Black over Black with the aluminum wheels. This car has been maintained properly with everything in good working order including the Air Conditioning that blows cold. This is the power equipment package that includes power windows and locks. The T-tops are in great condition as is the interior. These C3 Vettes have seen a rise in collectability but in today's collector car market, are still quite a value, at least for now. Do not miss the opportunity.
