GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1978 Ford F100 Custom Styleside Pickup for purchase. While there have been many adjustments and generations, the F-series pickups deserve a lot of credit for helping America get working after WWII. Before the first generation rolled off the factory floor in 1948, a pickup was essentially a flatbed welded on to a car frame. The F-series has proved its worth over and over as it has been the best-selling vehicle in the United States since 1981 and the best-selling pickup since 1977.
This '78 F100 was purchased new at the Threlkeld Motor Company in Lyons, Georgia on December 19th, 1977. We hold the original window sticker as well as documentation showing it remained owned in Georgia by the same owner until 2012. It was sold to a family friend who brought it back to Michigan who did some work to improve the truck's appearance and performance. It received a new exhaust, brakes, new paint, and work to the engine. It's powered by the 351ci Windsor V8 engine and automatic transmission. It also came with the Ranger package, power steering, power brakes, working air conditioning, tinted glass, convenience group, chrome bumpers and more! The aftermarket stereo features a CD player and aux input. This great southern truck is ready for its next owner!
