This Pontiac Safari wagon is perhaps the ultimate expression of a bygone era before the advent of mini-van or the SUV's. Wagons have now become earmarked for use by surfers or those shying from the crowded field of muscle cars. This particular 1962 Pontiac Catalina Safari Wagon 9 Passenger vehicle is a factory A/C, P/S, and P/B still retaining it all original interior. It was built for long range highway cruising and comfort, starting with a solid body in great condition showing only minor rust and solid frame and rockers. The recent repaint is a very nice "driver" quality. It now is powered by freshly rebuilt 1970 GTO 400CI with 350 trans, new drive shaft, Sanden 134A a/c compressor (blows cold), new heater core, complete front suspension with 2" drop, new ball joints, a-arm bushings & shafts, tie rods, sway arm bushings, shocks, p/s box seals, brake booster/cylinder/valve (drum/drum), brakes and wheel cylinders, Griffin aluminum radiator. The dash pad could use replacing but that is same change compared to the quality of the wagon as a whole.
It rolls along on 17" Coy wheels and near new tires all around (mostly test drive mileage). New green tinted side glass, new window felts and rubber, new weather-strip every door, new tail gate window motor, Dynamat.
It's new owner will also get a complete set of shop manuals, original owners manual, and all build related invoices and component manuals. Boxes of spare parts, some OEM, trim pieces. For an additional price of $1000.00 you will also become owner of the original 1962 389 Pontiac engine and transmission, a pair of headers w/collectors, and more including the original steering wheel.

The car is located in Winder, GA. Inspection are encouraged and welcomed by appointment only. Owner seeks the fair price of 26.5k but open to offers and will consider trades for a 1956 Chevy. Owner will ship worldwide at buyers expense.
