Vehicle Description
This Shelby GT500 is one of one. Only one Shelby GT500 in 1969 was built in this color combination with a 428/4V CJ Ram Air engine, close-ratio 4-speed, 3.91 Traction-Lok differential and Drag Pack option. To top things off, this Shelby has less than 40,000 original miles (mileage not indicated on the title). This car is has a replacement 428/4V CJ Ram Air engine block (built February 1969) and a show-quality repaint. It has been driven 300 miles since it was repainted. Finished in factory Gulfstream Aqua Blue with gold stripes over the original untouched Clarion Knit white vinyl interior, this Shelby retains its original chrome bumpers, brightwork, emblems, wheels, as well as its original hard-to-find fog lights and light covers. The car came equipped from the factory with vinyl high-back seats, a sport deck rear seat, AM radio, power front disc brakes, power steering, deluxe racing seatbelts, warning light, trip odometer and tachometer. It also had a period-correct Hurst shifter added at some point in its history, but should the new owner so desire, the original shifter goes with the car. The car comes equipped with original Shelby Mag Wheels and has extremely hard-to-find, brand-new, original-style Polyglas blackwall tires. This Shelby looks and drives like new, makes excellent power and is a real joy to drive. Well-documented in the Shelby Registry, this car has a clear chain of ownership. The car comes with deluxe Marti Report documenting that this 1969 Shelby GT500 is one of one.
