Vehicle Description
1950 Meteor Custom
Ford of Canada offered the Meteor to Canadian Mercury-Lincoln dealers from 1949 to 1976 as an automobile to sell in the low price market, due to the dealer structure, in where smaller communities may have only a single dealership that was expected to carry a full line of models in both the low and mid priced field. Initially introduced in June, 1948 they shared the new post war full-size Ford bodies, chassis and power trains but with unique Meteor only trim.
