"Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy. Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy"
Every time I see one of these '60 Chevy's, that classic Bob Seeger tune "Night Moves" pops into my head. Makes me want to own one of these cars even more! This 1960 Impala hardtop has some nice restoration qualities, but also retains some of its original components that make it the iconic classic that it is. For instance, this Chevy retains all of its original trim, chrome bumpers and clean strait body panels. You will find a very pleasing amount of original patina on this hardtop as well as some of the important stuff rebuilt and restored. You just can't beat the original interior patterns on these vintage Chevy's. This car having been completely reupholstered in the striking, tasteful and original red, and white pattern. The original gauges are clear and function properly.
This particular Chevy drives very easy, even turning slowly in a parking lot. The brakes, although 4 wheel drum, work well and have been completely rebuilt. Of course the clutch assembly is new, and with the new Hurst shifter, the 4 speed transmission moves the car forward nice and smooth. The 348 tri-power engine has been rebuilt and balanced, starts right up and runs with ease and reliability. Pertronix is in the distributor, so you will have the reliability of an electronic ignition. Just to re-cap: 1960 Impala hardtop, clean, strait body, no rust anywhere on the undercarriage or body, painted satin black with traditional pin-stripping. New original style interior, rebuilt engine, suspension, rear end, brakes, and new wiring. If you want a classic car that will always garner attention at a cruise-in or car show, that you can drive anywhere, any time you like in comfort and style - take a good look at this '60 Chevy. You'll be crusin' down the road with "Night Moves" in your head in the "Sweet, Summertime, Summertime".
