in your face and wind in your hair? A notch above the ultimate
driving machine, MotoeXotica is pleased to present this 2004 M3
Cabriolet. It was only available in coupe and cabriolet bodies as
the previous sedan version had been dropped. TheE46M3, first
introduced in October 2000, appeared worldwide with the new
3.2LS54M-tuned engine, with a redline of 8,000 rpm. As with most
M engines, the S54 had six independent throttle bodies and this
time it came with a drive-by-wire throttle. In the U.S., the E46 M3
came with similar engine output as the European version -
333horsepower and 262 lbs-ft of torque due to close-coupled
catalytic converters closer to the engine exhaust ports. A
six-speed Getrag manual transmission with a conventional clutch
came standard, but optional was aSMG drive logic transmission
(also known as the SMG II), which this car has. It is the standard
six-speed Getrag transmission with an electro-hydraulically
actuated clutch, meaning there's no clutch pedal. Shifts are made
via theSMGgear knob or the steering wheel-mounted paddle
shifters. This cabrio, made on December 15, 2003, came with the
following optional equipment--fully automatic black soft top,
smokers' package, front armrests, heated front seats with lumbar
support, Park Distance Control, rain-sensing wipers, xenon
headlights, complete cellular phone preparation, Bluetooth
wireless, 10-speaker BMW AM/FM Business Radio with Harman Kardon
high-fidelity and CD changer in trunk, M light alloy double-spoke
wheels, SMG Drivelogic transmission, COP control, shipping
protection, Dynamic Stability Control, multi-function steering
wheel, green stripe windscreen, auto dimming rearview mirror, power
sport seats with memory functions, automatic air-conditionings and
M leather steering wheel. Vehicle exported from Germany and arrived

completed on January 30 by BMW of Dallas/MINI in Dallas, Texas.
First owner drove car for almost two years. Car received routine
maintenance and minor repairs during this time. Second owner drove
car for four months; no issue reported. Third owner drove the car
for almost six years, during which time BMW recalled the car as
part of a larger recall to replace the passenger-side front air bag
modules. Fourth owner drove the car for five months with no
reported problems. Outside, the Carbon Black (which some people may
see as a dark metallic blue) paint (code 416) is in very good
shape, with only minor blemishes visible overall. All glass panels
are clear and intact, as are the vehicle's exterior lights. The are
some imperfections on the driver's side of the tonneau cover but
the hood, trunk lid, doors and fenders are all laser straight and
in great shape, the black power top is in good shape and all trims
pieces are present. Inside, the black leather (code N5SW) front
bucket seats offer supportive bolsters to keep the driver and front
passenger in place during cornering while all of the seating
surfaces, front and rear, show minimal to no wear. The
complimenting carpet is in good shape and the dashboard is
crack-free. The door panels show some minor blemishes, probably
from the Joy of Driving over the years, but the thick leather
sports steering wheel and leather shifter are still in good shape.
Also, some of the gray painted trim shows some cracking and hazing.
The rearview and sideview mirrors and console are in good
condition. The car rides on Bridgestone Potenza tires in front,
225/40R19, and BFGoodrich GForce Comp 2 tires in back, 255/35R19,
surrounding standard BMW M-series light alloy double-spoke 19-inch
wheels and has a tire pressure-monitoring system (TPMS). Car comes
with a set of M3 floormats an other M series items in the trunk.
