The 1957 283ci/283hp 3-Speed Fuel injected Venetian Red, with Shoreline Beige coves, and Beige soft top roadster being offered for sale has owned by the seller since 2009. He is a master Corvette restorer, who has been involved with the car’s restoration since 1994. His previous restoration efforts have achieved the NCRS Duntov Award of Excellence, Bloomington Gold Certification and The Triple Crown Award.
This is a “no hit body” car painted in single stage urethane in 1993. The car presents in excellent condition, with re-chromed original bumpers, original chrome molding, correctly dated LOF North American OEM glass, a new soft top and frame fitted by Clint Coffman, original gages redone by Clocks by Roger, starter and generator rebuilt by John Pickle Sr., and a new wiring harness, from Lectric Limited. The right hand horn (low note) is #339, the left hand horn (high note) is #340. The car has a rebuilt correctly dated transmission, with an original shifter and ball. This is a no heater / no washer car optioned with the Wonderbar radio (rebuilt), emergency brake flasher and courtesy lights.
