Our client purchased this Corvette on June 10, 1986 for his wife’s birthday from the first owner, Gordon Weber, with 12,500 miles on it. Mr. Weber, a local construction company owner, purchased the car brand new from Joslin Chevrolet Inc. of Traverse City, Michigan. Weber’s daughter was turning 16 in a few months and he couldn’t envision her driving it, which is why he put it up fro sale. The car remains 100-percent original today. It has under 26,000 original miles and has been babied it’s whole life. It comes with ALL original documentation including all manuals, booklets, and even the original window sticker. The car has always been stored in an indoor, climate controlled environment and has never been driven in the snow. Of the 53,807 Corvette’s produced in 1979, only 1,913 of them were made with a Red exterior over a Red interior (we actually have two of them in our inventory!), making this Corvette even more rare. The car has never been painted. Everything remains original, except the power radio antenna, battery, tires, and wipers have been replaced. Everything also works as it should, including the power windows, radio, and AC. The L-82 powerplant starts, runs, and drives exceptionally well. The car also comes with removable glass T-Tops, cover bags for T-Tops, original keys, and armrest pad.
