Being offered is a beautiful 1963 Catalina Super Duty tribute with its factory original 389 engine, 4 speed and desirable 8 lug wheels. (PHS) This rust free vehicle has been frame on restored and presents very well, ready for the weekend shows. It was stripped to bare metal and repainted with base coat/clear coat in its original (paint code WW) Nocturne Blue and looks awesome. A fabulous paint job over super straight original sheet metal. The tri color Blue interior (trim code 233) is mostly new and looks great. If you are looking for 60s muscle car to invest your money into (given the condition, color combination, engine/transmission combination, the pure curb appeal and drivability) this is a car you should consider. The car has its original Protecto Plate and PHS showing it sold new in Springfield Ohio. It was restored back to its factory configuration with the Tri Power carbs and 421 fender emblems added. Paint quality is great; it shines like glass with no swirl marks, rock chips, etc. Quarter panels, doors and fenders are all super straight. The sheet metal and floors appears to be original with factory panel gaps. Underneath, the frame and undercarriage on this car are clean and tidy. The previous owner who had it restored also undercoated it to protect his investment. Didn’t need it, he just wanted to. This Catalina is also equipped with newer body mounts, shocks, air shocks in the rear, brakes, suspension components and exhaust system. Factory original 8 lug wheels along with Firestone radials set this car off. The car’s stance looks right and has those classic lines of a 60’s muscle car. Bumpers, emblems, window moldings, front and rear grill and bezels are all new or rechromed. The exterior needs nothing. Trunk is detailed with spare 8 lug wheel and bumper jack. Trunk floor looks to be original and in perfect shape. This car turns heads every where it goes and will provide years of pride in ownership you can only find in cars of this quality appearance. Interior looks great; correct Pontiac tachometer, instrument cluster, carpets, door panels, seat covers, headliner, everything. It is equipped with a gauge cluster to monitor engine performance. The instrumentation, including the speedometer and tachometer works. The factory 4 speed shifter provides a very solid shift. It retains its original working Delco radio and steering wheel in nice condition. There are no cracks in the dash pad. Drive line consists of a the original 389 that has been rebuilt and 4 speed transmission, new clutch, and its 3:73 posi trac rear end. Engine retains its original heads, and exhaust manifolds. The tri power carburetors have been rebuilt. A new starter, new water pump, new distributer, date coded plug wires, new battery, belts, hoses, etc, etc, all complete this highly detailed engine bay. This vehicle is a pleasure to drive. It steers straight and under hard braking stays straight. The alignment is good. It is fast….an adrenaline machine.
