Frame-off restoration ... Anniversary Gold Metallic ... Beige/Copper/Gold tri-tone interior ... 348 CID V-8 ... Automatic ... Power brakes ... Power steering ... Power windows ...
“There’s a special kind of glow that goes with owning a new Chevrolet. Behind the wheel, you feel like you’re right where you belong. You know you’re being looked at—and you couldn’t look better.”
These are the words that Chevrolet used to lure buyers to its showrooms in 1958—to see completely redesigned full-size models that were longer, lower, and wider than the 1957 models they replaced. Boasting technological advancements from the chassis up, takers were not disappointed.
This absolutely stunning 1958 Chevrolet Impala has benefitted from a frame-off restoration. Refinished in its original color of Anniversary Gold Metallic, its finish has a beautiful luster that is laser straight. The color lends a beautiful sophistication to this car that is further enhanced by its abundance of chrome and brightwork, all of which is in excellent condition.
The interior also shows as new, and its eye-catching Beige, Copper and Gold tri-tone seats provide a beautiful contrast to its gold exterior. The commanding dashboard features textured instrument inserts set off against a brushed metal background. All areas of the interior, including the headliner, dashboard, door panels, and carpeting are in excellent condition. In addition to power steering and brakes, you’ll appreciate the convenience of power windows, an AM/FM radio, and a “hide-a-away” center armrest for rear passengers. Also contributing to passenger comfort is the Level air suspension— a rare option new for 1958.
Under the hood you will find an optional 250 horsepower 348 CID V-8 mated to a Powerglide automatic transmission. The engine compartment is neatly detailed and shows well. You’ll also appreciate its dual exhaust system. Best of all, this car runs and drives as well as it looks.
One item of note is that the speedometer and odometer are not currently working. The odometer shows 27,300 miles, and the title reflects the mileage as actual, but total mileage is unknown.
If a beautifully restored and well optioned 1958 Impala is what you desire, this is the car for you!
