Vehicle Description
As you know, there weren’t very many Cameos built. I believe about 5000 total before they ended production in 1958. So this is certainly a rare truck. I believe it is also very desirable.
Certainly the Cardinal Red/Ivory color combination is desirable. How many power steering, power brakes and deluxe heater? Great options! The most recent owner improved drivability by installing a 3.38 ring/pinion from Patricks. Because it was a Kansas/Missouri truck, it has never been rusted. But the most desirable fact is that this truck only has 525 miles since a very thorough and correct nut/bolt frame-off restoration.
I have been over this truck from stem to stem and top to bottom. It is very, very nice and is very, very well done. It is restored to a high standard.
I have driven this truck. It rolls along at 60mph with ease. It handles great, partially due to the new Coker radial tires. All features work properly. The doors lock with the key. All that is missing is the jack.
There were a few tasteful modifications. In addition to the radial tires, you will find the retro- appearing AM/FM radio, with I pod jack, was installed. You will also notice that seatbelts were installed. Dual exhaust was also installed. Other than that, it is very, very original appearing.
There really isn’t more to say. This is a desirable truck that is very capable of speaking for itself.
