This 1977 MG Midget has been respectfully restored. The car was completely disassembled and reassembled in my garage; all of which has been documented in a journal with photos, invoices and receipts. Parts were either rebuilt or replaced. There have been a number of upgrades to improve handling, performance and reliability. The transmission, differential, and engine have been rebuilt. The paint was chemically removed as well as all of the original undercoating. The body was professionally primed, block-sanded and painted the original Brooklands Green. All new wiring harnesses with an upgrade to Pertronix ignition and 3.0 ohm Flame Thrower coil were installed. Other upgrades include: Weber Carb 32.36 DGEV, Facet electronic fuel pump, Holley 1135 Fuel pressure regulator with in-line bronze filter, Polyurethane Bushings in front and rear suspension, Delta Camshaft with mild lift, Custom upholstery and custom upholstered padded dash. The engine went through a proper break-in period using Valvoline VR1; 30 SAE with ZDDP and Lucas Engine Break-in oil additive containing TB-zinc After break-in period; Valvoline VR-1 20W50 has been used. At 622 miles on the rebuilt engine; compression checked showed all four pistons between 150 to 156 psi. The oil pressure is at 60 psi when first started and stays around 55 to 60 psi during normal driving; idles around 40 psi. Thank you for your interest.
