Up for sale we have a 1966 Dodge Charger RT. This Charger has had a
nice resto done with many upgrades to the engine and brakes. In the
paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the
exterior, interior, and driveline of the Dodge, but first we would
like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,
that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us
for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at
(865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Charger. When you look
at the body you will see it's rock solid with great lines. Down the
sides the panel fit is very good and it has an arrow straight. When
the resto was done they had a great eye for detail that is evident
by the gaps around the doors, hood and trunk. Everything is covered
in the White Body Color that is accented by the Black RT stripe.
Inside the door jams, trunk, and under the hood the paint all looks
well done. The bumpers have been replaced along with other chrome.
As for the tail light assembly the lens looks like new. The grill
up front looks good as well and all the glass is in great shape
with like new seals. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set
of 17" American Racing wheels with the gray inserts.
Next, we will take a look at the interior of the RT. On the inside
it all looks like new. This year Charger came with the Four Bucket
Seats and the console that went all the way to the back. The seats
are covered in Black Leather that's done in the factory style. The
door panels and carpet also appear new. We were told that he
headliner was the factory liner and it looks very good. This '66
comes with the gauge pack dash with the factory tach and the
controls for the Vintage Heat/AC.
Finally, we will take a look at the driveline of the Dodge. Under
the hood it's very well done with the inner fenders and firewall
being painted body color as it should. The power comes from a built
383 V8 that has an Aluminum 2-Four Intake with dual AFB carbs. It's
also dressed with Sheet Metal valve covers and dual chrome Air
Filters. To keep it cool it has an Aluminum Radiator. The exhaust
flows through coated headers with dual Flows. When installed the
vintage A/C was fitted well. When you look under this Charger it
has Four Wheel Power Disc Brakes along with Power Steering. The
floor pans all look stock and it's still covered with the factory
under coating.
