Through its many design changes, it also endured a variety of mechanical, engine and safety advances. The Monte Carlo is a two-door coupe which was produced by Chevrolet through six generations from 1970-2007. It was marketed as a personal-luxury coupe through most of its history, with the last model version being classified as a full-sized couple. New in 1985 was a four-speed automatic overdrive transmission, the Turbo Hydramatic 200-4R, with a revised sports rear axle ratio containing 3.73:1 gears became standard on the SS.
The car listed here is a fine example of a clean one owner southern vehicle that has been enjoyed with very few miles on the car. Only 36k miles showing on the odometer and believed to be accurate give great pedigree to the next owner of this SS.
