Car presents as full "Body off" restoration, well completed the owner has invested many hours, to restore the car as correctly as possible. The 114X is the Canadian version of the American model, which sold in much greater numbers. Rare today, due to the low numbers originally produced. Numbers correct restoration.Restored "body on frame" vehicle restoration. Steel body shell correctly stripped of existing material. Repair if required. Body finishing to obtain smooth ripple free exterior panels. Gap alignment. Correct primer prep to steel body for correct adhesion of final finish. Paint is lacquer finish, professionally applied, Color code #M-14222. No dents, blemish, bubbling, chips, rust, or visible primer. Panel fit is very good, panels alignment is very good. Doors lock shut securely. Rear doors have operable "safety locks" (Ford option)
.Rear Trunk area has been correctly prepared and finished. No rust or dampness found in crevis areas and spare spare wheel area. Tools and spare are with the vehicle. Under hood is spotlessly clean and finely detailed. New wiring harness correctly routed and clamped. Front bumper area is fully damage free, Chrome and trim excellent-no damage, paint is unmarked has no stone chips to front facing panels, lights are unmarked and operational, trim excellent. Grill is unmarked, -restored grill. Rear area including, trunk lid and rear lights, is unmarked -no damage.
Body glass in place with no delamination or fogging of any glass, windshield is unmarked, no scratches or rock chips. Body rubber seals are new, and in place on doors, windows, and all other opening panels to create a watertight seal, Trim overall is very good, with no dings or scratches. Underside of body and frame is damage free, clean.
This is the stock engine (239 cubic inch Flat Head V-8 rebuilt) for the model year, with no performance enhancements. Engine dress era correct. Wheels are stock correct steel rims (16 inch), with correct covers.
Interior fully restored with good attention to detail. Seats front and rear, period correct fabric that is a close match to the original, in order to restore the car correctly, fully rebuilt, appear today almost "as new".
Headliner was replaced. Door panels are matching to seat trim. New carpet installed. Deluxe models have rear foot rest. Dash was fully restored. Period correct radio and heater system.

Received FIRST PLACE TROPHY for best restoration at Abbotsford Collector Car Show & Auction October 13-14, 2001. Car has been stored in heated garage since then.
