Vehicle Description
Just Toys Classic Cars is proud to present to you a great piece of
70's history. They year is 1971, for the most part, the muscle car
era is still alive, all be it on life support still alive. Colors
were bright, the big 3 were fighting it out, and it was still a
great time to be a kid in high school coming of driving age. If you
were a Mopar nut and wanted a brand new car, you sat up at night
dreaming about this 1971 Dodge Super Bee. The Hemi Orange paint on
this particular example is miles deep. We know that the stripes
would not have been glossy back in 1971, but the owner wanted to
preserve them from the heat and the sun so they are under 7 coats
of clear. You could wet sand this car till the cows come home and
make it shine even more than it already does. Like a lot of the
cars we have, the fit and finish on this car was strongly paid
attention to so everything fits probably better than the day it
rolled down the line.
Now like most gear heads, before sitting in the seat, you want to
take a look under that hood. On this one you are going to find a
period correct date coded 440 4 barrel. The motor and the entire
car have been done with in the last 2000 miles. The motor was
actually rebuilt to 1970 specs so you get a little more HP out of
the motor now than when it was new. There is a new carb on the
motor. This 440 is mated to the original automatic transmission and
all goes out through the stock rear end. This car truly is a piece
of Mopar history that you should be proud to own.
Now that you are trying not to drool all over the car, you slam the
hood, fasten up the hood pins and run around to that driver side
door. You open it up and slide yourself in to a very comfortable
and roomy interior. As we all know, Mopar's have never really been
known for flash and cash interiors. They have always been all
business with what is under the hood. The interior of this car is
very clean and everything functions properly. The seats front and
back have been re covered and there are no rips or tears, and the
carpet is new as well. They car does have power steering and power
brakes so it will turn and stop which is a nice thing on a car with
this kind of power. So, now that you are sitting in this seat, get
yourself adjusted and do what gear heads were born to do. Give that
loud pedal a couple of pumps and hit that key. You hear that 440
come to life and you instantly feel like you are right back in high
school waiting to burn rubber and show off in front of all your
friends. You might even go dig out that out letter jacket (well
maybe not that far, I know mine doesn't fit anymore lol). These
types of cars just bring back a flood of memories. It was the one
you wanted, the one you had and let get away, and want again. Well,
here is your opportunity to relive the good old days and put this
car back in your garage once more. You have taken care of everyone
else in your life, now it is time to take care of yourself. Life is
short, drive what you want.
