Thank you for looking at our very nice and affordable '57 Bel Air, an earlier "body on" restoration that still shows well. It has been in storage for several years and has some concerns as indicated by our OLD FORGE Motorcars exclusive 120 point condition check:
Rust - the floors appear solid by the body mounts and middle crossmember exhibits some rust - the damage is minor - our body shop's estimate to repair is $1000
Battery tests bad
The carburetor needs attention as the car stalls on acceleration
The heater blower motor is inoperative
Fresh air control is inoperative
There is a hole in the right exhaust pipe
Left front wheel cylinder is leaking
We'd replace the heater hoses
As you can see - nothing serious here - in fact overall the car is in very nice condition. The elderly consignor is not in a position to fix these items so he has reduced his asking price to a very low figure
