Vehicle Description
The "IAD Land Shark" began life as a Mosler Photon prototype, then immediately became a more-than-7-year R&D project - over 20,000 hours - at Intense Automotive Design (IAD) Research & Development. This vehicle weighs in at 1,741 lbs. dry, has a 6-speed manual transmission and is an extremely rare example of a supercar. No expense was spared on the 401.9ci twin-turbocharged engine, which is an LS-based RHS Tall Deck block capable of 3,000hp at 10,000 rpm. The chassis was stripped and lightened; mechanical components are all aluminum, titanium or magnesium – only the finest components available were used in the build. Brakes, suspension, transmission, radiator, oil cooler and more have all been replaced by more lightweight versions. All lines in the IAD Land Shark are lightweight XRP braided steel, with AN fittings. Four different fuel tanks exist; currently configured to carry just two at a time. Two 20-lb nitrous bottles provide an 800-hp kick. Custom carbon-fiber seats. Low mileage; was only driven to a few concours events in California and one trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas and back. This powerful vehicle is just at home on the street as it is on any road course in the world, and is a car collector’s dream car.
