For Sale: 1956 Studebaker Power Hawk in Palmdale, California
The Studebaker Power Hawk was available for 1956 only. At this time, Packard and Studebaker were one company.
The Power Hawk was powered by the Studebaker Commander engines and shared many of its components. It was positioned in the Studebaker line-up between the Flight Hawk, which was the base Studebaker vehicle, and the Sky Hawk.
The gorgeous Air Force Blue and White two tone paint complements the same colors in the interior. Paint and interior have been re-done in original style and make this Power Hawk look like new.
All original trim is present and in good condition. In the photos the antenna is missing, however an original NOS antenna with Bakelite bezel has been located and will be installed on the car when it arrives.
The motor & transmission are original and have been serviced regularly. There are lots of service records that will go with the car. The car runs and drives great, it's ready to roll and is perfect for Sunday outings.
This Power Hawk has nearly new tires with classic wide white walls and wheels painted to match the body. Caps are shiny and in excellent condition. The trunk is impeccably clean and includes a spare tire with cover and cap.
Also included is the original Owner's Manual in excellent condition. The car has current CA registration, with original vintage Black and Gold CA license plate.
This Power Hawk is a head turner and recently won 2nd Place at the 42nd Annual La Palma Car Show on May 29, 2016. The La Palma Car Show is the biggest of all Studebaker car shows, making the win that much sweeter – just like this Power Hawk.
