Vehicle Description
Auction #544-1928 Buick Master 6-The Buick Master Six was an automobile built by Buick from 1925 to 1928, and shared the GM A platform used by other GM brands. It was powered by a 255 cu in (4.2 L) Buick Straight-6 engine and available as either Sedan and Touring models. It was Buick's high-end offering, above the Standard Six.
This example is all original unrestored and just purchased from the collection of the late S. Truett Cathy, founder and owner of Chick-Fil-A Restaurants. Mr. Cathy purchased the car from George Glass who is also an Atlanta collector. Mr. Glass relays the story as: The original owners, from Pennsylvania, only used the car sparingly as it only has 27K miles from new. Every time they drove it, it was washed, stored in a garage, and covered. Every September, it was stored covered on blocks until the next spring.
The car appears to be totally original including paint, wooden "military" wheels, and interior. Car starts and runs good.
This is an amazing opportunity for you to own a car from the Cathy collection, and a piece of Buick history.
