INVENTORY REDUCTION, PRICE REDUCTION. --- The Ford Woodie (or
Woody) Wagon is an iconic American treasure associated with The
Beach Boys and Surfing. Since the initial debut of the Ford factory
built wagon, Ford was the leader in the station wagon market and in
1940 Ford produced the only wagon on the market with a V-8 engine
under the hood. The craftsmanship that went into building these
wagons is legendary, and the outstanding styling of the 1940 models
has kept this particular version of the woody at the top of the
list for collectors for decades. Woodie wagons were never produced
in great quantities and the attrition rates were high due to their
utilitarian use. When they gained huge popularity in the 60s as
surfer wagons, the trend for modifying them as hot rods was
launched and today, most of the ones that have survived have been
modified. This Ford Deluxe wagon is a custom built, ONE OF A KIND,
wagon that Ford Motor Company never built, but should have. It is a
2 door wagon. All original early Woodie wagons were 4 door cars.
The last ford Woodies were built in 1951 and were 2 door wagons.
There were only 8730 original 1940 Ford Woodies built. You are
looking at one of the most beautiful, custom built, 1940 Ford 2
door Woodie Wagons you will ever lay your eyes on! This is a ONE OF
A KIND car with a Hand Made, Maple Body, built by Jody at Cowboy
Customs in South Carolina. Cowboy Customs has built about half a
dozen of his Custom wagons. The first one was a 34, then a 36, then
a 37 then this 40 and a later 50 Ford and 50 Mercury like the 50
Mercury model that Hot Wheels built as a model. This Woodie is
powered by a new 350 Chevy crate engine and a 700R4 automatic
Overdrive Transmission! This beauty offers these power options,
power steering, power drivers seat, power disc brakes, power
windows, and power door locks to keep the suicide doors secure when
driving down the road. This iconic beauty has cold Air
conditioning, tinted windows, a Kenwood Am/FM CD player, American
Racing Wheels and BF Goodrich Tires!! It has been built about 6
years and has been driven only a little over 6,000 miles since
being built. I purchased this beauty from the builder. When he
built the car, he finished it in Black. I'm just not a black car
fan, so I had him disassemble it and repaint it in a gorgeous red
color that it is today. I have a full build sheet on the car so you
will know what every part is that was used on this beauty. You can
own this awesome ONE OF A KIND beauty for only $50,000, (REDUCED
DOWN FROM $55,000), which I feel is very fair for a ONE OF A KIND
custom built vehicle like this one in the condition this gorgeous
beauty is in. I have full documentation on the build with plenty of
photos. If you do not particularly like this one, the builder can
build you one to your specs. He has built a 34, a 36, a 37 and this
40 Ford Woodie. I am considering having him build a 1941 Lincoln
Continental Woodie wagon in the near future. You can own this
BEAUTIFUL ONE OF A KIND Woodie Wagon for only $50,000 (REDUCED DOWN
FROM $55,000), which I feel is very realistic for a classic vehicle
like this one with the potential that this vehicle has. We offer a
