You are looking at a Very Rare 1956 Pontiac Safari 2-Door Wagon project! This is Pontiac's version of the Chevrolet Nomad Station wagon. This was the lowest production Pontiac for 1956 with only 4042 built. This particular car came out of California where it had been stored in a garage for more than 25 years. It is 99.99% rust free and just about that complete. The engine appears to be a Pontiac engine that came out of a 57 or 58 GMC Pickup truck and it has a three deuce tri-power carburetor setup on it. We have had it running. It has a hydra-matic transmission with power steering power brakes and power windows. Some of the original leather interior is still in the car for patterns. There is one cracked rear side window and the windshield is missing. I have new tail gate chrome and a new gas tank with sending unit for the car. The rear upper tail gate is good and does not appear to have been twisted like is so prevalent on these vehicles. I would be very interested in trading this toward a 55 Chevy Nomad as that is the car I really would like to have. You can own this Beauty for only $13000.00 which I feel is very fair for a car like this one with the potential that this vehicle has. I might consider a possible trade what do you have?
