Vehicle Description
Only 2,499 1979 Hurst/Olds were produced to stay under the limit of 2,500 that would have forced GM to get the 350 motor certified. A total of 1,334 were given the black-and-gold paint, with the rest painted gold and white. The Hurst/Olds was built off the Calais body style which gave you bucket seats, console, rallye gauges, along with a different front end. The motor was a Olds 350 V-8 with a TH-350 automatic transmission. Roof options were a sunroof or factory T-tops. Of the 2499 Hurst/Olds produced, it is estimated that 537 came with T-top’s.
This Hurst/Olds came with T-tops, posi-traction rear end, A/C, along with many other convenience options. It has been in Washington State for the last 6 years and has been parked in a garage and driven sparingly over that time only in nice weather in the summer. It drives very well and shifts smoothly. Recent work includes: rear brakes and wheel cylinders, rear shocks, oil & filter. Front brakes are in excellent condition. Prior owners repainted the car along with doing the interior.
