This 1966 Chevrolet Nova Super Sport, serial # 118376W101105, is an original numbers matching, restored example of a unique muscle car equipped with the L79 engine option—327 c.i. and 350 hp—including the 4-speed manual transmission. On inspection, one will find the matching serial number to the car stamped on the engine block along with the factory date code with the ZG suffix, verifying the L79 with 4-speed option as original to the car. In 2005-2006, this Nova L79 SS underwent a complete restoration. The matching numbers L79 engine was rebuilt complete with new pistons, connecting rods and valves. The original crankshaft was inspected, polished, and reused in the rebuild. The rear end was rebuilt to original standards. According to the consignor, this vehicle was restored “from the ground up.” All new authentic parts were used specific to the year and model, and the interior, upholstery, and carpets were all new. At the time of restoration, the odometer read 35,000 miles, however it was not functioning. The speedometer was replaced, and the current odometer displays the mileage since restoration.
