The 1959 Ford model year is arguably one of the best years for Ford design. While other brands began to fully embrace space age design, Ford showed restraint. Their elegant design for 1959 won the Gold Medal for Exceptional Styling at the Brussels World Fair. In 1959 Ford added the Galaxie, which assumed the top position in the Ford lineup. The car wore the Fairlane 500 badge in addition to its Galaxie badge. This top-of-the-line Ford was offered in five body configurations: Town Sedan, Club Sedan, Town Victoria, Club Victoria, Sunliner Convertible and Skyliner retractable hardtop convertible.

Finished in code D Indian Turquoise, this Sunliner looks great with its new white power convertible top and excellent tri-tone matching interior that primarily features the turquoise and white with silver piping. The Sunliner is stated to be an excellent original car with a professional repaint; along with attractive bright trim elements, the Galaxie has stainless steel fender skirts accenting the brightwork that extends to the rear bumper ends. Running with the Interceptor V-8 engine, the Sunliner has an automatic transmission, padded dash, AM radio, fender-mounted dual sideview mirrors, bumper guards, backup lights, heater/defroster, clock, top boot, spare, jack, lug wrench, chromed exhaust tips, original owner’s manual, BFGoodrich Silvertown tires and factory wheel covers.
