From an era when elegance, class and style were an appreciated commodity, no other motorcar in the world occupied a higher place in the affections of its owners than the Cadillac Series 60 Special. Long the marques symbol of Cadillac leadership, this fantastic automobile was taken to even greater heights in 1953. If you’ve ever spoken to an enthusiast who saw these cars new and on the streets, you’ll know that its appearance alone set it apart as it reeked of sophistication and was a very demonstrable sign of personal success.

Its unusually long wheelbase, rear deck and fender lines, handsome and distinctive louvers along the rear fender, lower body brightwork treatment and Fleetwood insignia on the rear deck set it instantly by itself. Other eye-catching detail is seen in the properly restored trunk with jack, lug wrench and original spare, rear fender skirts, “excellent original undercarriage,” foglights, gold-toned badging, stainless steel side window rain guards, clean engine bay, Firestone whitewall tires and factory “sombrero” wheel covers. The paint and chrome elements are reported as excellent.
