The 1958 Edsels were so anticipated and this one was ordered by Tony Nunez of Modesto, California by Wilson Edsel Sales in September, 1957. At some point, the dealer's owner Elmo Wilson repurchased the car for his private collection. It remained with Elmo until his passing in 2002. Purchased by last owner from his estate in 2002.
