This 1969 Dodge Dart GTS is has been certified by Galen Govier as having its complete original drivetrain. Galen also states this car as one-of-one with equipped options. The car comes with two build sheets, sales brochure and an owner's manual. As it sits today, it is as it was when it left the showroom, except for the Rally wheels and radial tires. In the Galen Registry, it is said to be rarer than a Hemi 'Cuda. There were 214 of these Darts built; and only 30 are known to exist today. It is reported that of the three Sunflower Yellow finished cars, this is the only one with factory air conditioning and a white interior.
This car has a 340-cid V-8 engine backed by a 727 Torqueflite automatic transmission. Also equipped is power steering, power convertible top, GTS suspension and a Sure Grip 8 3/4 rear differential with 3.23 gears. Other options included redline tires, engine dress-up kit, dual exhaust, carpeting and a three-spoke steering wheel. The car is reported to have all the original sheetmetal and convertible top. The Dart has only received one professional repaint. This is a true time capsule from the historic muscle car era.
