Mission: Impossible III was an action spy film starring Tom Cruise. The film was widely released in the United States on May 5, 2006, and was a critical and commercial success. This movie prop (complete with hole “blown” into the side) is reported as being a “real Brinks truck” that looks to have been created for its movie appearance by MCT Custom Truck Bodies of Hernando, Mississippi. It has been part of museum for the past number of years and has 1.5 inch thick steel body and sits 9.5 feet in height. Inside, there is a guard’s seat, partial divider wall, driver’s controls, front side-seat, diamond-plate flooring and movie posters. The truck is a dually that has custom paint for its role, diamond plate, alloy-style wheels, massive grille guard and bumpers, numerous marker lights and all of the traits that set the armored car apart as the ultimate security vehicle. Its role in a big movie with a big star should help secure its future. The owner states that "a new Brinks truck can cost up to $250,000 when new, depending on how it is equipped."
