Just arrived, the 1979 Town Landau Edition was one of the most luxurious, well
equipped Thunderbirds ever. Its signature brushed aluminum roof band
reminds us of the iconic Crown Victoria Coupes of 1955 & 1956.
The Town Landau was the top of the line trim package for the 1977-1979
Thunderbird model. Color keyed turbine wheels, extra pinstriping and the split
landau roof with the metal band. Special high end cloth interior and loaded
with all the luxury options was the standard for the Landau's.
This car was sold new by Jim Nelson Ford of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in
July, 1979. It remained there in a private collection until brought to Florida.
My shop is refreshing it, preparing for its next owner to love and show.
This car has excellent original Black paint with some flaws on the front fascia,
hood and trunk The hood and trunk had some improper detailing and light
scratches will require us to repaint these panels. The painted pinstriping will
be replicated. Paint on the sides of the car is excellent. Mint factory split Landau
Black vinyl top with brushed aluminum band.
Landau interior is 100% original including dash, carpet and headliner.
Beautiful wood accents and full gauge package.
Correct factory Red painted pinstripe special to the Landau's.
Pristine factory color coded turbine wheels and newer whitewall tires.
This lovely car has been well cared for by its prior owners
and will look great in your new garage...
The car is equipped with the factory 351 cubic inch engine,
2BBL carb and automatic transmission.
