Richard Petty, nicknamed 'The King' is a former NASCAR driver who raced through the early 60's into the early 90's winning a record 200 races in his career including 7 NASCAR championships and was a part of the first class inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2010. The King was statistically the most accomplished driver in the history of the sport and is one of the most respected figures in motorsports as a whole. In 2015, Ford teamed up with the Petty operation known as 'Petty's Garage' and decided to churn out a limited series of Ford Mustangs, available for order at your local Ford dealer on a first-come, first-served basis. Presented here is a brand new 2015 Petty's Garage Ford Mustang GT Stage 1 shown in Competition Orange that has only 18.2 miles on it. This specific vehicle is serial number 20 out of only 100 Stage 1's produced. The Petty's Garage GT Mustangs aggressive styling has been achieved through NASCAR inspired exterior styling features including Petty's Garage custom front fascia, Petty's Garage rear fascia with center exit exhaust cutout, Petty's Garage windshield banner, color matched emblems and a race inspired rear wing. The Petty Mustangs have also been treated to a major overhaul of the 5.0 liter V8 Coyote engine which is now equipped with a Ford Racing/Roush supercharger, Ford Racing/Roush cold air intake kit as well as a custom Ford Racing/Roush ECU tune and Petty's Garage/Magnaflow center exit performance exhaust. After all the upgrades were installed, the Mustangs were tested and tuned to a whopping 627 horsepower. All of the horsepower can be felt and enjoyed through a short throw and smooth shifting 6 speed manual transmission. Other features of the Mustangs included power steering, 6 piston power disc brakes by Brembo up front, a factory installed line lock, limited slip rear end, engine oil cooler and 20 inch HRE Flowform H01 staggered (20x9 and 20x10) matte black wheels wrapped in Continental DW tires. The interior of the Petty's Garage Mustang is featured in a gorgeous and soft black leather with custom embroidered headrests, floor mats as well as 'The King's' signature on the dashboard. Some of the other features the Mustang is equipped with are heated and air conditioned seats that are 6 way power adjusted, tilt and telescoping steering wheel, Ford MyTouch AM/FM/CD/MP3 with AUX port and satellite radio, cruise control, power windows, power locks, power mirrors, keyless start as well as keyless entry.
